Betty Crocker

Remember that time you missed cake and spent $10 on a gluten free mix at Whole Foods and it tasted like hot garbage??? FORGET ABOUT IT! Betty Crocker has come to the rescue with a line of gluten-free products that are AMAZING! Even better, their website lists recipes to make other delicious treats using their mixes as the base. SO GOOD! I have found them at most Shaws & Stop&Shops (in the Natural Food isle).

Gluten-Free Survival Guide

Turns out Elizabeth Hasselback is a Celiac too! Although I don't always enjoy her personality on The View, she wrote an AWESOME gluten-free survival guide. It talks about the physical and mental struggles of being a Celiac, and it has step-by-step guides in everything from to not being overwhelmed in the grocery store to not being socially awkward at parties. This is the best Celiac book I've come across & I greatly recommend it for not only Celiacs- but for their families too.

thinkThin

First, I am sorry for the little blog break. Second, I am excited to share about Think Thin bars! They are sold at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. They are tasty, packed with protein, sugar-free and gluten-free! They are handy to keep in your purse or desk at work for a quick power-boost or to satisfy when dinner is still hours away. Check out their webpage- because they have many different flavors and types of bars.

boYO

I don't know why I have been posting so much about yogurt, but why stop now? boYO serves up natural frozen yogurt that is soo good! Even better, it is gluten-free. I have only confirmed that the original flavor is gluten-free, but the staff will probably know what the flavor of the day's ingredients are. They also have a wide assortment of gluten-free toppings, such as fresh raspberries or mango!

Fage

Another yogurt choice to the mix! Fage Greek Style Yogurt....

"FAGE is an excellent source of protein due to its unique straining process. Vegetarians can eat FAGE TOTAL and is also suitable for diabetics, pregnant women and people on gluten-free diets. It can also be used to cook with in your favorite recipes since it will not separate in high heat. FAGE is pure, creamy and can be enjoyed without adding anything to it. It is simply delicious and nutritious."*

P.F. Chang's China Bistro

Although they are owned by the same folks of Cheesecake Factory (which is not Celiac friendly), they have an awesome gluten-free menu. When I went, the server was excellent in ensuring my food remained gluten-free. They even have gluten-free soy sauce (not the one on the table- your server will bring it for you). Overall, a great restaurant to go to for safe & awesome food for you and your non-Celiac friends. Oh yeah, they totally have a gluten-free chocolate cake!

Stoneyfield vs Yoplait

I find breakfast to be my biggest gluten-free struggle. I yearn for french toast and pancakes, but I have yet to find anything gluten-free that comes even close in taste. Anyways, yogurt and fruit is a healthy, quick, gluten-free breakfast or mid-afternoon snack. Stonyfield Yogurts are gluten-free and found at most grocery stores. In my mind, there are some things that should never be unprocessed and yogurt makes that list. For those of you like myself out there, I much prefer the processed Yoplait.

Stoneyfield Yogurt:
Certified gluten-free. All of our yogurts, smoothies, and soy-yogurts—except for our YoBaby Plus Fruit & Cereal, YoKids Squeezers, Oikos Greek Yogurt, and frozen yogurt—are certified gluten-free.*

Yoplait:
Is Yoplait yogurt gluten free?

Yes, the entire Yoplait yogurt range is gluten free, including Yoplait Original, Yoplait Lite and Yoplait formé no fat.**
